Facility
Asunción Valley Farm is accepting clients for both consignments & training. The farm has a show schedule that follows the ‘A’ circuit up and down the West Coast.
For both the horse & rider we provide the following amenities:
- Competition sized arena
- premium footing
- Ebb & flow watering system with a sub-irrigation drainage and watering capability
- 3/4 mile flat galloping track to keep horses mind and body at its peak performance and to help prevent arena burn-out
- 3/4 mile galloping track on hills to increase aerobic and hind-end fitness
- 12×16 box stalls with runs
- Extra large sand paddocks with covers
- Kraft Werks oval shaped Eurocizer with cover to keep horses out of the sun and rain
- 60 foot round pen with the same premium footing as our arena.
- Irrigated grass turnouts for horses in the barn – they are turned out daily, if the horses can tolerate the grass. If not, they go in the sand paddocks
- Irrigated grass pastures with covered shelters – ranging in size from 1.75 acres to 2.5 acres
Pastures
Our native grass pastures are also available and are a good option for retirees or young horses. They are very large (one is approx 10 acres, the other is approximately 35 acres), and the horses are in groups that live harmoniously. They get a lot of exercise in the hills on the property. The utmost care went into all of the fencing. The farm is fenced with welded pipe and nonclimb wire, and all of the horses have at least a five foot high fence with at least a three foot gap between each paddock or pasture – so there isn’t a chance for fence fighting or biting. The property is gated, and there are three residents located on the property, with cameras, so your equine family members always have someone with an eye and an ear on them at all times of the day and the night. The property has multiple gates in several areas to keep horses secure, even in the event one is loose, there are parameters put in place that prevents them from escaping into a larger area or escaping the property all together.
